A traditional Scandinavian drinking cup that must not be missing on every proper adventure.
This kuksa is handcrafted from rare gnarled birch.
Natural wood insulates much better than plastic or single-wall steel. Keeps our drinks at enjoyable temperature.
NATURAL AND ECO FRIENDLY
You do not have to worry about harmful plastics or chemicals. Our Kuksas are made of pure natural wood and fished with a coat of food grade finish.
People in Lapland have used kuksas for thousands of years and when treated right it can last for lifetime. Remember that like any other natural wood product, it requires occasional treatment. Below you can see some treatment tips.
LIGHTWEIGHT & PORTABLE
Our kuksas will hold approximately 200 ml (6.8 fl oz) of liquid, about as much as a normal sized coffee/tea mug. At the same time they are very lightweight. We included full-grain lanyard and carabiner, so you can hang it wherever you please.
CLEAN PROPERLY- After each use rinse your Kuksa cup with clean water and dry it out.
ONLY HAND WASH- Do not use dishwasher for cleaning it up.
AVOID EXTREME TEMPERATURES- extremely high temperatures can cause cracking after time. However, don´t worry to pour hot coffee or tea into it. Just stay away from microwaving, or pouring liquids right after boiling.
OIL REGULARLY- Occasionally coat with natural oils to prevent the wood from drying out. Don´t forget that dish cleaners dry out these oils.
